Horse Leases

FULL & HALF LEASES AVAILABLE- Please reach out to Sarah to see what horses are available for this.

We have partial leases available for approved students.

Leases are a great way for students to practice their skills outside of lessons and to further advance. Developing skills for riding takes practice and repetition. Lease rides give students more time in the saddle to practice building their muscle memory and more time on the ground practicing their horsemanship.

Approved students will be those who are at least cantering and are able to tack up themselves. They have passed yellow level riding and red level horsemanship. Parents must commit to staying with the student and supervising them while they get the horse ready, ride, and take care of them after (unless schedule when staff is available to be there and supervise).

For monthly leases, days must be scheduled for lease rides in advance. The horse may have a lesson scheduled for the day of the lease ride, so it is important that the time scheduled is kept or rescheduled ahead of time. Students must be able to properly take care of the horse and tack. There will be some restrictions included such as no jumping outside of lessons, depending on the weather and day no cantering or going outside of the arena. If a leased horse comes up lame, another will be offered.

No jumping allowed outside of lessons for any lease rides.

Regular Partial Lease Fees (due by the 1st of each month)-

1 day a week lease ride- $175

2 days a week lease ride- $275

3 days a week lease rides- $375

Half Lease (3 days a week, including 1 lesson a week one of those 3 days)- $500

Full Lease (including 1 day off and up to 2 lessons a week for 2 of those days)- $1,000

There is a monthly commitment to leasing, with a 30 day notice if the student will not be leasing the following month.

Leassors will have first choice of their leased horse for lessons, shows, schoolings, and other events. Those who lease must commit to their weekly lessons and make up if they miss any.
